It's alive!

I have image capture working on the Gumstix!. had to jump through a few hoops, but it is finally here! Next up:

  1. Measure much current it consumes
  2. Control GPIO lines
  3. Determine processor performance various image processing routines
  4. Enable ffmpeg
  5. Actual images from the board.
update: photos from the gumstix:

one of the first images from the gumstix. I still haven't been able to figure out why I get these artifacts every now and then. Initially I thought they were some compensation algorithm in the driver or the camera itself going awry, but I see these even during static scenes. Not sure if the audio data is being interpretted incorrectly by the driver.

Self-awareness: Gumstix camera (hint: round eye like thing) looking in the mirror with gumstix in the foreground. You can see the white serial cable reflected, and the image of the duracell. The blue ethernet cable reflection is seen too, behind the reflected battery.
